Size Guidance
Which Silver Series Model Is Right for Your Space and Collection
The most common Silver Series sizing mistake is matching the model's rated capacity to the current collection count and assuming that's enough room. Rated capacity is based on a baseline configuration. Buy one size larger than you think you need. How to size a safe for a real collection rather than a spec sheet number makes the case clearly.
SR65T: Up to 65 Long Guns
Call before ordering: The SR65T is 56 inches wide and 1,295 lbs. A standard 36-inch doorframe will not pass this safe without removing the door and frame. Confirm your entry path, including doorway width, hallway clearance, and floor ratings, before placing this order. Call us at 208-454-8038.
Exterior: 72" H × 56" W × 25-1/2" D • Interior: 66" H × 51" W × 17" D • Weight: 1,295 lbs • Capacity: Up to 65 long guns (52 all-gun, 39 half-shelf, 13 on door) • Volume: 60 cu ft
Built for a serious collector: 12 Axis shelves, 4 High Capacity Barrel Racks, 1 Scoped Pistol Rack (factory standard), 1 Pistol Rack. The 51-inch interior width and 60 cubic feet give you genuine reconfiguration range. With optics and slings factored in, a realistic fit for most mixed collections is 40 to 50 guns. If you're at 35 guns and your collection is still growing, this is the right model. How manufacturer capacity figures translate to real-collection storage clarifies what that number means with your specific firearms.
SR49T: Up to 49 Long Guns (Tall)
Exterior: 72" H × 43" W × 25-1/2" D • Interior: 66" H × 38-1/2" W × 17" D • Weight: 1,070 lbs • Capacity: Up to 49 long guns (39 all-gun, 26 half-shelf, 10 on door) • Volume: 46 cu ft
Full 72-inch height in a 43-inch footprint: the SR49T fits a standard 36-inch doorframe where the SR65T does not. Eight Axis shelves and 3 High Capacity Barrel Racks. With scoped rifles and accessories, realistic capacity in a mixed configuration runs 30 to 40 guns. If you're between the SR49T and SR65T, the SR65T's additional 13 inches of interior width and 14 cubic feet is usually the deciding factor when the buyer sees both models in person. Delivery planning required at 1,070 lbs.
SR49: Up to 49 Long Guns (Standard Height)
Exterior: 60" H × 43" W × 25-1/2" D • Interior: 54" H × 38-1/2" W × 17" D • Weight: 920 lbs • Capacity: Up to 49 long guns (39 all-gun, 26 half-shelf, 10 on door) • Volume: 38 cu ft
Same width as the SR49T, 12 inches shorter. Clears most standard doorframes and is the lightest model at full-width (920 lbs). Five Axis shelves and 3 High Capacity Barrel Racks. For installations where overhead clearance is a constraint or a basement staircase limits height, the SR49 is the practical answer at this capacity tier. Best for collections in the 25-to-35 range with room to grow.
SR33: Up to 33 Long Guns
Exterior: 60" H × 31" W × 25-1/2" D • Interior: 54" H × 26" W × 17" D • Weight: 740 lbs • Capacity: Up to 33 long guns (26 all-gun, 13 half-shelf, 7 on door) • Volume: 27 cu ft
The entry point to the Silver Series. Same construction, smaller footprint. Duo-Formed door, 4-way Max Bolt engagement, Force Deflector locking, ThermaBlock insulation, and full DPX door system are all present. The 31-inch exterior width fits where the wider models don't. Best for buyers with collections in the 15-to-25 range who want High Security construction in a tighter space. If you're at 20 guns and the collection is active, consider the SR49. The SR33 fills faster than most buyers expect.
All four Silver Series models share identical construction: 11-gauge body, Duo-Formed door, rectangular Max Bolt geometry, Force Deflector locking, ThermaBlock fire insulation system, DPX door panel, electrical outlet, LED light package, and elevated Floor Stock Holder. Model selection is a capacity and space question, not a construction quality question.
