A compound bow takes up significant floor space inside a safe and can't be laid flat without risking the limbs or cams. This hanger mounts to the underside of any wood shelf, letting the bow hang vertically in the airspace below. The rubber-coated arm cradles the bow riser, prevents shifting, and won't scratch the finish.
Most modern compound bows weigh under 7 lbs. The hanger is rated to 25 lbs of load, which covers the full range of compound bows and leaves room for accessories stored with the bow. Installation requires four screws and a screwdriver.

Compatibility
The hanger requires a wood shelf to mount to. It uses four screws that drive into the shelf from the mounting plate, so a solid wood or wood-core shelf is necessary. It will not mount to a metal shelf or wire shelf.
Most Liberty gun safes include adjustable wood shelves. Before ordering, confirm your safe has at least one wood shelf with enough open airspace below it to hang your bow. Most modern compound bows measure 28 to 36 inches axle-to-axle, so the space below the shelf where the bow hangs needs to accommodate that dimension.
Installation
Position the hanger on top of the shelf where you want the bow to hang. Mark the four screw hole locations, then drive the included screws through the mounting plate into the shelf. The hanger arm drops down through or over the shelf edge, with the rubber-coated cradle hanging below. Hang the bow by the riser on the cradle to confirm fit and clearance before finalizing placement.
A Phillips-head screwdriver is the only tool needed. Pre-drilling pilot holes is recommended on hardwood shelves to prevent splitting.
Common Questions
Will this work on my safe's metal shelves?
No. The hanger mounts with four screws that need to bite into wood. Metal shelves and wire shelves won't accept the screws. If your safe has only metal shelving, this hanger won't work without adding a wood shelf first. Many Liberty gun safes include at least one adjustable wood shelf. Check your model's interior configuration before ordering.
How much interior height do I need below the shelf?
Enough to clear your bow's axle-to-axle length when hanging vertically. Most modern compound bows run 28 to 36 inches axle-to-axle. Measure the open space below your chosen shelf and compare against your bow's axle-to-axle measurement before mounting. You also need clearance to lift the bow on and off the hanger, so add a few inches for handling room.
Can I use this with a recurve or traditional bow?
The hanger is designed for compound bows, which have a rigid riser that rests cleanly on the rubber-coated cradle. Recurve and traditional bows can work if the riser geometry allows the bow to balance and hang stably on the arm. Whether it works depends on your specific bow. If the bow hangs level and securely without risk of slipping off, the hanger will hold it. The 25 lb weight rating covers all three bow types by a wide margin.
