What actually protects your contents is the insulation material packed inside the walls and door, the quality of the door seal, and whether the safe expands correctly when heat hits it. A label can say almost anything. The construction underneath either works or it doesn't.
What Actually Protects You From Theft Isn't What Most Safe Specs Highlight
If you're comparing bolt counts, you're looking at the wrong variable. Bolts are the last line of defense. They only hold if the steel around them resists prying, impact, and leverage. A safe with fourteen bolts through thin-gauge steel is less secure than one with four bolts through heavy plate.

A UL rating or independent fire certification gives you a tested benchmark. Something more reliable than a manufacturer's own claim. Look for them. Don't let them do all the work for you.
