♻ Reusable: Oven Rechargeable 🔵 Color Change Indicator 💧 Passive Humidity Control 📦 3 Sizes Available

Silica gel pulls moisture out of your safe's air before it can settle on metal and cause rust. All three sizes work the same way: no power, no maintenance, no moving parts. Place the canister inside your safe and it starts absorbing humidity immediately.

A color-change indicator tells you when the canister is saturated and ready to recharge. Bake it in your oven per the size-specific instructions below and it comes back to full capacity. Most owners get years of use from a single canister before performance degrades.

Which Size to Choose

40 Grams

Handgun vaults and small home safes. Good for tight spaces where a larger canister won't fit.

450 Grams

Mid-size gun safes. Most buyers in normal humidity environments do well here.

750 Grams

Large gun safes, vault rooms, or high-humidity environments like coastal areas or basements.

Reactivation Instructions

When the color indicator shows the canister is saturated, reactivate it in your oven. Temperature and time vary by size. Remove the cap before placing in the oven.

Size Temperature Duration
40 Grams 300°F 3 hours
450 Grams 240°F 3 hours
750 Grams 240°F 2 to 3 hours, or until indicator turns blue

Before reactivating: Remove the cap carefully before placing the canister in the oven. Do not bake with the cap on. Allow the canister to cool completely before returning it to your safe.

Common Questions

How do I know when the desiccant needs to be recharged?

The canister has a built-in color-change indicator. When it shifts away from blue, the silica gel is saturated and needs reactivation. You don't need to track time or set reminders. Just check the indicator whenever you open the safe.

What size desiccant do I need for my gun safe?

The 750-gram canister works well for most full-size gun safes and is the right choice for high-humidity environments. The 450-gram is a solid fit for mid-size safes in normal conditions. The 40-gram is sized for handgun vaults and small home safes where space is limited.

Does this work as well as a plug-in dehumidifier rod?

Both control humidity but in different ways. A desiccant canister requires no power and no wiring. Drop it in and it works. A dehumidifier rod runs continuously and is better for safes in very damp environments like basements or coastal climates. If you already have power inside your safe, a rod handles high humidity more consistently. If not, a desiccant canister is the practical choice.
