As the crystals absorb moisture they gradually liquefy, collecting in the tub below. When the crystals are spent, add a new refill bag rather than replacing the whole unit. The tub is built to prevent overflow so the liquid stays contained.

When the crystals are spent, you add a new bag rather than baking anything. If you prefer a no-heat maintenance model, the Humydry is the simpler option.
How do I know when the crystals need to be replaced?
The crystals visibly liquefy as they absorb moisture, collecting as liquid in the tub below. When the crystals are fully dissolved and the tub holds liquid but no remaining crystals, it is time to add a new refill bag.
